Anita Barone

An actress with a variety of stage roles who has been relegated mostly to shows on TV, Anita Barone received her most memorable performance in the medium by playing husband of Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which ran one season on ABC between 1995 and 1996. Barone played on stage for the first time at 5 years old in Detroit when her family relocated to the city from St Louis. She was in the stage for more than 50 shows by the age of 23, mostly in local theatres, as well as university productions. Some of her stage performances included Juliet of Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in a re-imagining of "Monday after the Miracle" as well as the character as Agnes the young, gruesome nun in "Agnes of the Gods." She also had part in a feature film called "Ricochet". In addition, she was in the scene of "The The Rosary Murders". And in 1996, she portrayed the leading lady in a romantic comedy that was independent known as "Just Friends". Barone got her first recognizable Hollywood work as a member of Carol & Company (NBC, 1990-1991) - - the failed effort by Carol Burnett in trying to revive the comedy sketch series. Barone has also appeared in a"Wounded Heart," a 1995 USA Network movie, "Wounded Heart". The actress later returned to her daily sitcom show, in which she co-starred with Michael Chiklis on "Daddio".
